Ang Barangay St. Cruz ay nabuo sa pagsama-samang mga ito ng Barangay Dela Paz. Ito ay ang mga Sitio ng Sta. Cruz Nagpuso, Cavaliers, Kay baiya, Mahal na Poon, Tawid-Tawid, Uulan Makatubong, Mini, T agisan at Seven Hill, inalala ang mga pinagsama-samang Sitio na Brangay Sta. Cruz at pinagtibay naman ng Batas Pambansa Bilang 791 noong Abril 21, 1984.

Si Kgg. Jesus Gonzales ang unang punong Barangay ng Barangay Sta. Cruz na nanugulan mula 1992 at si Kgg. Ma. Herra M. Domingo ang pumangalawa mula 1994. Hanggang Nobyembre 30, 2007.

*Ang pang apat at kasalukuyang Punong barangay ng Brgy. Sta. Cruz ay si Kgg. Oscar “Oca” T. *Tumayonanagsimulang manungkulan noong Disyembre 1, 2007.

BATAS PAMBANSA BILANG 791*

 

BATAS PAMBANSA BLG. 791 – AN ACT CONSTITUTING SITIOS OF STA. CRUZ, NAGPUSO, CAVALIERS, KAY BAIYA, MAHAL BA POON, TAWID-TAWID, UULAN, MAKATUBONG, MINI, TAGISAN AND SEVEN HILLS, ALL IN BARANGAY DELA PAZ, MUNICIPALITY OF ANTIPOLO PROVINCE OF RIZAL INTO A NEW BARANGAY TO BE KNOWN AS BARANGAY STA CRUZ.

 

SECTION 1.The sitios of Sta. Cruz, Nagpuso, Cavalieras, Kay Baiya, Mahal na Poon, Tawid-Tawid, Uulan, Makatubong, Mini, Tagisan, And Seven Hills all in Barangay Dela Paz, Municipality of Antipolo , Province of Rizal, are hereby separated from Barangay Dela Paz and constitude into a new barangay of said municipality to be known as Barangay Sta. Cruz.

SECTION 2. The Barangay Sta. Cruz shall include the area bounded on: N – Marcos Highway, S – Sumulong Highway, E – Olalia Rd, Brgy. Dela Paz W, - Brgy. Mambugan to Marcos Highway near Nangka River.

SECTION 3.  After Ratification by the majority of the votes cast in a plebiscite to be conducted In the area affected within one hundred twenty days from approval of this, the president of the phillipines shall appoint the first officials of Barangay Sta. Cruz who shall hold the office until their successors hsall have been elected and qualified in the next regular barangay election.

SECTION 4. The commission on election shall conduct and supervise the plebiscite herein provided. The expenses for such plebiscite shall be charged to the appropriations of the Commission on Elections provided in the current Annual General Appropriations Act for plebsicites.

SECTION 5. This Act shall take effect upon its approval.
